Al Zampa Memorial Suspension Bridge

The Al Zampa Memorial Suspension Bridge, also called the Carquinez bridge is crossing the Carquinez strait between  Solano and Crocket counties in California, USA.
I was lead for  Dorman Long Hordaland's negotiations with the Client.

I was project manager for the cable erection at the 728 m main span suspension bridge. The work included licensing of DLH in California as well as management of Aerial Spinning, Cable Compacting and Cable Wrapping. Training of personnel and commissioning of the equipment.

This was the first of two bridges in the San Francisco Bay Area Toll Bridge Seismic Retrofit Program to be completely replaced. A video of the Aerial Spinning of the main cables.

Employed by Hordaland Mek. Verkstad and Dorman Long Hordaland.
