San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge

I was member of the American Bridge / Fluor JV Cable Team. Development of means and methods for the strand hauling at the self anchored suspension span. Conceptual design of the erection equipment; Tramway hauling system, West End hauling system, Floating Arms and Transfer Arms for the strand hauling. Design of the hydraulic cable compactors. Commissioning of the equipment and supervision during cable erection.

This was the second,and last bridge in the San Francisco Bay Area Toll Bridge Seismic Retrofit Program to be completely replaced. The bridge is designed to withstand a 8,3 Moment Magnitude earthquake.
